Congratulations to Helice “Sparky” Bridges, recipient of the 2018 Responsibility Award.

Here’s the Movement

The Responsibility Monument is a monument and a movement; a dream of Dr. Viktor E. Frankl, Holocaust survivor and world-renowned clinical psychiatrist. It’s a catalyst for a unifying global project to enshrine and share this fundamental value, Responsibility.

Together, for our kids, grandkids, friends, family, and generations to come, we will build responsibility, both literally and figuratively. A monument and visitor experience will educate, elevate, and engage people from around the world empowering millions to make life better. Combined with an educational outreach program to teach the principles of responsibility, the Responsibility Monument is a worldwide movement, the solution which solves many of the world’s biggest problems.

Responsibility + Liberty = Freedom.

The Statue of Responsibility

We are on a mission to build an iconic monument, The Statue of Responsibility, to literally elevate our hearts and minds to higher levels of Responsibility for generations to come. Helping to build the Statue of Responsibility is an epic “once in a century” opportunity for our nation. This monument will differ from others in that it will serve as a tribute to the future, rather than memorialize the past.

The monument will be built in three phases and we hope to complete it by 2020.

Progress update:  The Foundation’s municipality selection competition was a success.Throughout 2017, we narrowed it down to four cities in California. The site selection process continues to move forward, but the board has decided to erect 30-foot statues in these four cities as a precursor to the official 305-foot Statue of Responsibility. Our main objective is to construct the first 30-foot monument this year, with others to follow in future years.
